Here in the UK the Irish are often the butt of jokes; I always assumed the source of that was just neighbour-rivalry; but a few of the things I saw did make me wonder:

Not only has the city council either placed the flowers where it blocks the billboard, or the billboard immediately behind the flowers; but several companies (as it's a scrolling billboard) have furthermore parted with good money to place their adverts on a billboard where they can't be seen.
